Mihir Mehta is the Coopers & Lybrand, Norman E. Auerbach Assistant Professor of Accounting at the Ross School of Business, University of Michigan. His research focuses on the intersection of accounting and political economics, examining how political frictions impact organizations and regulatory oversight. He also explores information spillovers in contexts like AI-driven lending, insider trading regulations, and organizational specialization.
Education: PhD in Management from MIT (2010), Grad Dip in Math (2004) and BBus (Hons I) in Business from University of Technology Sydney (2003). Prior to academia, he worked at Ernst & Young in Sydney. He teaches Financial Accounting (ACC 300) and has won teaching awards.
