Miguel Reyes

Miguel Reyes is an Adjunct Professor in Illustration and Entertainment Design. Born in Colima, Mexico, on September 29, 1964, and immigrated to the United States in 1975. He holds a BFA in Communication Arts from Otis Parsons School of Design (1987) and works as a portrait and figurative painter, muralist, printmaker, and illustrator in Los Angeles. His artistic practice combines expressionist brushwork and a saturated palette influenced by his background in photography.

Miguel teaches courses in costume design and composition/drawing, including ILL-285-01: Inventive Costume and ILL-208-04: Composition & Drawing. His work explores intimate connections between subjects and viewers through life studies and street photography.
