Miguel Mascaró Portells

Dr. Miguel Mascaró Portells is a Full Professor at the University of the Balearic Islands, affiliated with the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science. He is a member of the LTIM (Multimedia Information Technologies) research group and the UGIVIA (Graphics, Computer Vision, and Artificial Intelligence) consolidated R&D group. His academic work spans teaching, research, and technological innovation in computer science fields.

• Research Interests: Object-oriented programming, web languages and technologies, application servers, service-oriented architecture (SOA), multimedia content storage and presentation, language processors and APIs, mobile device programming, audiovisual geolocation systems, cloud computing and Big Data applications, home automation, and neural vision systems.
• Teaching: Courses include Advanced Algorithms, Programming, Final Year Projects for Computer Engineering, and Data Visualization for Economics and Business Massive Data Analysis.
