Dr. Miguel Garcia Pimenta is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Clinical and Developmental Neuropsychology at the University of Groningen, Netherlands. He holds a PhD in Psychology from Goldsmiths University of London and completed postgraduate training in Clinical Neuropsychology and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. His research focuses on attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), hyperfocus, flow states, and academic performance in university students. He lectures in neurofeedback and supervises bachelor and master’s theses in Clinical Neuropsychology.
Education: BSc and MSc in Psychology (University of Lisbon), PhD in Psychology (Goldsmiths, University of London).
Research Interests: ADHD symptomology, neurofeedback interventions, cognitive motivation, neuropsychological rehabilitation, and questionnaire development. His work bridges clinical and developmental neuropsychology, emphasizing practical applications for academic and clinical populations.
Teaching & Supervision: Coordinator for 'Developmental Neuropsychology' (BSc), lecturer in 'Clinical Neuropsychology', and supervisor for bachelor and master’s theses. He also teaches 'Introduction to Clinical Neuropsychology'.
