Miguel D. Mahecha

Miguel D. Mahecha is a Full Professor for Earth System Data Science at Leipzig University and a research group leader at the Max Planck Institute for Biogeochemistry. He is affiliated with the German Centre for Integrative Biodiversity Research (iDiv) Halle-Jena-Leipzig and the Center for Scalable Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence. As co-spokesperson for the National Research Data Infrastructure for Earth System Sciences (NFDI4Earth), he focuses on integrating empirical Earth observations with theoretical frameworks to address climate-ecosystem-human interactions.
