Dr. Migdalia Reyes is Professor and Chair of multiple committees in the School of Social Work at San José State University. She provides mental health services to Latinx and sexual minority populations at Gardner Family Care Center and conducts research on substance abuse patterns in lesbian women and Latino communities.
Her scholarly work includes publications on substance abuse interventions for Spanish-speaking Latinos, feminist movements, and culturally competent service delivery. Professional service includes committee leadership in curriculum development and retention/promotion processes.
