Michelle L. Weber Rawlins, PhD, ATC is an Assistant Professor in the Athletic Training Program at San Diego State University's School of Exercise and Nutritional Sciences. She holds a PhD in Kinesiology from the University of Georgia (2019), MS in Athletic Training from A.T. Still University (2014), and BS in Athletic Training from Linfield College (2011). Her research examines concussion management with focus on reporting behaviors, patient perspectives, and clinical decision-making.
Research foci include concussion disclosure determinants, medical disqualification considerations, and military health applications. Recent work develops patient-reported outcome measures and examines social determinants of concussion care seeking. Weber Rawlins has secured research funding from the NATA Research Foundation and Far West Athletic Trainer's Association.
