Michelle Schpakow

Michelle Schpakow, Ed.D., is a Science Education Lecturer in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at Monmouth University. She holds a doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction from Liberty University, a Master of Science in Geosciences from Mississippi State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and Marine Ecology from Rider University.

Dr. Schpakow’s research focuses on science education, particularly addressing the gender gap in STEM, students’ attitudes toward science, and the development of American science education programs to prepare future STEM professionals. Her 2020 publication demonstrates expertise in integrating geologic data into plate tectonic theory instruction.
