معرفی
Mitchelle Murray is a Research Fellow in Botany at Trinity College Dublin, focusing on plant responses to climate change. She holds a BAgrSc in Horticulture from University College Dublin (2011) and a PhD in Plant Palaeoecology from UCD (2017), supervised by Prof. Jennifer McElwain. Her research examines stomatal conductance in woody angiosperms across biomes to assess impacts of rising CO2 levels on ecosystems and hydrology.
- Education:
- Bachelor of Agricultural Science (Horticulture), University College Dublin, 2011
- PhD in Plant Palaeoecology, University College Dublin, 2017
Research interests include climate modeling, paleoecological reconstructions, and the interplay between stomatal physiology and global environmental shifts. Her postdoctoral work at Trinity College Dublin expands on her PhD by creating a modern database of stomatal responses to refine climate model predictions of hydrological cycles and flood risk.
Labs/Teams: Collaborates with Prof. Jennifer McElwain’s Plant Palaeoecology and Palaeobiology Group (UCD) and leverages the CLAMP herbarium dataset.
