Michelle Martel

Michelle Martel is Professor and Chair in the Department of Psychology at the University of Kentucky's College of Arts & Sciences. She earned her Ph.D. from Michigan State University following undergraduate studies at the University of Iowa.

Her research examines developmental pathways to disruptive behavior disorders using translational approaches that integrate multiple levels of analysis. Key interests include ADHD assessment methodologies, sex differences in psychopathology, and hormonal influences on behavior.

Dr. Martel directs the RISK Laboratory and has authored several books on clinical assessment and treatment of childhood disorders. Her work emphasizes practical clinical applications with therapeutic tool development.
