Michelle Howard is a Professor of Art and Architecture at the University of Fine Arts Vienna, heading the Platform for Construction, Materials and Technology. Her research focuses on ecological architecture, material science, and gender studies in technology. She teaches courses like Projektseminar and Entwurfsprojekt in Tragkonstruktion, collaborating with experts like Ulrich Pont and Rüdiger Suppin. Her work explores biodiversity integration in buildings and reimagines technology through non-traditional perspectives.
Key achievements include the 2014 KFW award for her Berlin Stacked House project and the ongoing FERALcatalyst initiative along the Rhine-Ruhr.
