Michelle Guy, MD is a Professor of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), School of Medicine, and a key figure in medical education and health equity. Dr. Guy’s research and professional interests center on creating inclusive learning and clinical environments. Her work in medical education emphasizes mentoring across differences, inclusive leadership, and curriculum development for equity. She also specializes clinically in Primary Care and Obesity Medicine, teaching obesity management to medical students and contributing to the American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM) as an item writer and board member.

Both of her recent articles involve interventions to enhance resident competence in addiction medicine—one on naloxone co-prescribing and another on SBIRT training assessment—highlighting her commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care and educational innovation.
