Michelle Greene

Michelle Greene is an Assistant Professor at Barnard College in the Department of Neuroscience & Behavior within the School of Psychology. She joined the faculty in 2023 after appointments at Bates College and Minerva University, and research roles at Stanford University.

• Ph.D. in Cognitive Science from MIT
• Postdoctoral training at Harvard Medical School and Stanford University

Her research focuses on the neural and computational mechanisms of visual scene perception, particularly how humans and machines categorize scenes. Support from the NIH and NSF includes development of the Visual Experience Dataset, a large-scale video and eye-tracking resource for vision research.
