Michelle Ganci

Michelle Ganci is a Lecturer in the Department of Animal Science and Agricultural Education at the Jordan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, California State University, Fresno. She holds a B.S. in Animal Science (emphasis in meat technology) from Fresno State and an M.S. in General Agriculture (emphasis in agricultural education) from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.

Her professional work spans academia, industry consulting, and community service:

• Owner of California Poultry Consultants, providing expertise in poultry production and operations
• Active member of the California Farm Bureau Federation, chairing the Animal Health and Welfare Advisory Committee
• Leadership roles in Fresno County Farm Bureau and former president of Reedley College’s Agricultural Advisory Committee
• Chair of Operation School Bell at the Assistance League of Fresno, addressing childhood poverty through clothing initiatives

Ganci’s research and teaching interests focus on agricultural education, animal welfare, and practical applications of livestock management. She is a professional livestock and meats judge, mentoring student interns and contributing to agricultural scholarship fund-raising. Her career bridges academic instruction, industry leadership, and community outreach.
