Michelle Beiler

Michelle Beiler is an Associate Professor of Civil & Environmental Engineering at Bucknell University. Her research focuses on sustainable transportation systems, climate change adaptation, and pedestrian/bicycle mobility. She holds a B.S. from Lafayette College and M.S./Ph.D. from the University of Delaware, with additional training in Urban Affairs and Public Policy.

Key research areas include transportation equity, infrastructure resilience to climate change, and sustainable engineering education. She has developed frameworks like the GreenPaths rating system for evaluating trail sustainability and pioneered methodologies to assess bicycle network vulnerability to sea level rise.
