Michelle Anderson

Michelle Anderson is the Director of Training at Adler Community Health Services, Adler University (Chicago campus), with a focus on youth developmental trauma and health psychology. She holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from The Ohio State University (2007) and a B.A. in Psychology from Northwestern University (2001).

Research Interests: Dr. Anderson specializes in the health and mental health of the Black Diaspora, emphasizing community-based participatory research and activism. Her work explores African-centered approaches to well-being, developmental trauma in youth, and structural determinants of health disparities.

Publications & Presentations: Her scholarly contributions include co-authoring articles and book chapters on African American mental health, optimal conceptual theory, and culturally syntonic interventions. She has presented nationally on interprofessional collaboration, cultural stress prevention, and spirituality in Black psychology.
