Michele Serra is a Lecturer in Algebra and researcher in the Algebra and Geometry group at TU Dortmund since 2023. Previously, he held a Post Doc position at Universität Konstanz (2022-2023).
- PhD in Mathematics (2021), Universität Konstanz, supervised by Prof. Dr. Salma Kuhlmann
- Double Master Degree in Mathematics (2013), Università degli Studi di Padova and Universiteit Leiden (ALGANT program)
- Bachelor Degree in Mathematics (2011), Università degli Studi di Cagliari
His research focuses on valuation theory, Hahn groups and fields, and their automorphisms. Beyond academia, he participates in the English Theatre Group (ETG) at TU Dortmund, creates watercolor sketches of notable places, and plays jazz saxophone in the TU Dortmund Jazzensemble while learning traditional Japanese Shakuhachi music.
