Michele Puppin

Michele Puppin is a Lecturer at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) within the School of Basic Sciences and affiliated with the Laboratory for Ultrafast Microscopy and Electron Scattering (LACUS), the Laboratory for Ultrafast Microscopy and Electron Spectroscopy (LUMES), and the Dynamic Quantum Materials Laboratory (DQML).

Research Interests: His work focuses on

• Time and angle-resolved photoelectron spectroscopy
• Ultrafast optics
• Nonlinear optics and high-harmonic generation
• X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy
• X-ray absorption spectroscopy

Teaching: He teaches courses such as Attosecond Radiation Sources, emphasizing the generation of attosecond photons and electron pulses. His academic roles span multiple departments, including the Physics (SPH) Teaching Group and the Education Outreach (EDPY) program.

Labs & Teams: He is actively involved in the LACUS and LUMES laboratories, contributing to ultrafast microscopy and electron scattering research, as well as collaborating with the Dynamic Quantum Materials Laboratory.
