Michele Maggini

Michele Maggini is a Professor of Organic Chemistry at the University of Padova, where he has held the position since 2000. He serves as Director of the Department of Chemical Sciences (2016-2023) and Chair of the Board of Directors at the University of Padova (2020-2023). His research focuses on synthesis and applications of π-conjugated molecular architectures for solar energy conversion, flow chemistry platforms for pharmaceuticals, and functionalization of carbon nanostructures. He has pioneered methods in continuous-flow chemistry and nanomaterials for energy, agriculture, and biomedical applications.
