Michele Bona is a Research Fellow with the Department of Information Engineering at the University of Brescia, Italy. Born in Brescia in 1989, he has established himself as a researcher specializing in measurement systems and telemetric techniques with biomedical applications.
His educational background includes:
- M.Sc. degree (cum laude) in Industrial Automation Engineering from the University of Brescia (2013)
- M.Sc. degree in "Sciences and Technologies, Mention Sciences de l'Ingénieur" from Université Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris VI (2013)
- Ph.D. (cum laude) in Information Engineering from the University of Brescia
Dr. Bona's research focuses on telemetric techniques for passive resistive sensors and measurement systems. His early work involved designing acquisition systems for lower limb rehabilitation machines in collaboration with Europamed rehabilitation center. His doctoral research centered on telemetric techniques for passive resistive sensors.
He is currently involved in the "6 DOF Finger Tracking" project, an inter-academic collaboration supported by MIUR through PRIN 2015 grant (project code: 2015C37B25), working with research groups from University of Perugia, University of Brescia, and University of Cassino. This project aims to develop Short Range Wireless Positioning technology for data gloves and wearable biometric systems for biomedical applications.
Additional research activities include the Magnetic Hand Tracking System and MeMeA 2020 Prototype 2.0, with participation in IEEE ISSE2018 conference. His research demonstrates a consistent focus on precision measurement systems with practical biomedical applications, particularly in rehabilitation technology and human movement tracking.
