Michele Back

Michele Back is an Associate Professor in the Department of Molecular Sciences and Nanosystems at Ca' Foscari University of Venice. He serves as Laboratory Supervisor and Responsible for Teaching and Research Activities (RDRL), with offices and laboratories located at the Scientific Campus via Torino.

His research focuses on the design of luminescent inorganic materials (powders, ceramics, nanoparticles) with applications in:

• Contactless thermal/pressure sensors
• Broadband NIR LEDs
• Anticounterfeiting technologies
• Persistent luminescence materials for bio-imaging

He specializes in transition and post-transition metal compounds for harsh environment applications.

Publication analysis shows consistent focus on advanced optical materials, particularly:

• Rare-earth doped nanomaterials (10+ papers)
