Michelangelo Bartolomucci

Michelangelo Bartolomucci is a PhD student in Computer and Systems Engineering (39th cycle, 2023-2026) at the Department of Control and Computer Science (DAUIN), Polytechnic University of Turin. He also serves as an External Lecturer and teaching assistant at DAUIN.

• Research Focus: Methodologies for Next-Generation Functional Safety and Analysis and Verification of Soft Errors.
• Teaching: Lecturer for Testing and Fault Tolerance in the Master's program in Computer Engineering (2024/25), and course collaborator for Computer Science in the Aerospace Engineering program.

His research addresses challenges in functional safety for modern, complex circuits, including small delay defects, selective hardware hardening, and specialized methodologies for neural processing units. A recent publication at the International Symposium on On-Line Testing and Robust System Design (IOLTS) explores fault grading techniques for software-based self-test.
