Micchela Meo is a Full Professor of Telecommunications at Politecnico di Torino since 2016, affiliated with the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications (DET). She holds leadership roles in academic governance, including Vice-Rector (2017-2018) and member of the PhD Board in Electrical, Electronic, and Telecommunications Engineering. Her research focuses on Green Networking, sustainable communication systems, and machine learning applications in networks. She has authored over 200 papers and holds two patents.
Education: Laurea (1993), PhD (1997) in Electronic Engineering from Politecnico di Torino.
Research Interests: Sustainable networking, 5G/6G technologies, network energy efficiency, traffic analysis, and AI-driven network management. She leads projects like BREADCRUMBS (drone-based routing) and 6GTWINS (6G digital twins).
Key Roles: Editor of IEEE Transactions on Green Communications and Networking, steering committee member of IEEE OnlineGreenComm, and organizer of 20+ international conferences. Also serves on boards of Top-IX and CSP-Innovazione.
