Michel Tirions

Michel Tirions (b. 1967) is a social worker and sociologist serving as a Lecturer and Researcher at the Department of Social Work, Artesis Plantijn University College in Antwerp since 2002. He also teaches and acts as an academic assistant in the Social Work Master's program at the University of Antwerp. His expertise spans ethical conduct, professional identity, and the capability approach in social work evaluation. He is a member of the Knowledge Centre iSOS.

• "WAM! Values and the Craft" (2012-2015): Investigated normative professionalization in social work education.

Teaching Focus: Ethics in Social Work, Professionalization, International Social Work, and Human Rights. Courses include "Social Work as a Profession" and "Society and Profession Relationships".

International Engagement: Develops international networks and projects through collaborative forums, emphasizing global social work practices and policy.
