معرفی
Michel Figlarz (1934–1994) was a Professor at the University of Picardy Jules Verne in Amiens, where he founded the Laboratory of Chemistry of Powdered Solids (later renamed Laboratory of Reactivity and Chemistry of Solids, LRCS) in 1968. He served as its director until his passing in 1994. His research focused on transition metal hydroxides, novel oxides in the WO₃-MoO₃ system, and synthesis of metal powders via soft chemistry. He contributed significantly to battery materials development and international advancements in soft chemistry techniques.
Education:
- Doctorate of Science, Paris Sorbonne University (1966)
Research Interests: His work emphasized energy-related materials, including Ni-Cd and lead-acid battery components, and the synthesis of oxide hydrates. He pioneered methods like high-energy milling for amorphization of WO₃ oxides, bridging fundamental chemistry and applied electrochemical systems.
Labs/Teams: Founder and director of LRCS, fostering interdisciplinary research in solid-state chemistry and electrochemical materials.
