Micheal Lynch is a Lecturer in Nursing (Adult) at Ulster University, School of Nursing and Paramedic Science, Faculty of Life & Health Sciences. He is based at the Derry~Londonderry campus and teaches pharmacology, anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, and research.
Dr. Lynch holds an MSc in Advanced Professional Practice (Critical and Acute Care Nursing) from Queen's University Belfast and a BSc in Adult Nursing from the University of East Anglia. His clinical background includes acute cardiology and pre and post cardiac procedural care, where he served as a deputy charge nurse and member of the cardiac arrest team.
His research focuses on pharmacotherapeutics, heart failure care, cardiac disease prevention, and nurse competence in ECG interpretation. His recent article on sacubitril/valsartan demonstrates his expertise in cardiovascular pharmacology and its application in nursing practice.
Professional recognitions include:

Dr. Lynch maintains active professional involvement:
