Michał Wrochna

Mi is a mathematician affiliated with Utrecht University's Mathematical Institute. He holds a professorship at Cergy Paris Université (since 2019) and serves as a part-time research professor at Vrije Universiteit Brussel. He is currently on leave from Cergy Paris Université. His career includes tenured roles as maître de conférences (equivalent to assistant/associate professor) at Université Grenoble Alpes’ Institut Fourier, postdoctoral research at Université Paris-Saclay, and research assistant positions at Universität Göttingen.

Research interests focus on mathematical physics, microlocal analysis, and their intersections with quantum field theory and general relativity. His work often addresses problems in geometric analysis, scattering theory, and the mathematical foundations of black hole physics.

Recent academic activities include organizing seminars such as the Utrecht microlocal analysis workgroup, the 2025 mini-course on black-hole stability, and participation in thematic programs like the 2024 Quantum and Classical Fields Interacting with Geometry at Institut Henri Poincaré. He is also involved in Dutch and international conferences on mathematical physics.
