Michał Wirtel

Michał Wirtel, born in 1988 in Lublin, is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Graphic Arts, Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk. His work spans painting, digital graphics, film, and icons, with a focus on spirituality and biblical themes as mediums for exploring existential questions through visual language.

His research emphasizes the integration of painting experience into multidisciplinary practices, aiming to reinterpret traditional Christian art within contemporary visual culture. He has participated in plein-air workshops and exhibitions in Poland, the United States, and Ukraine.
