Michal L. Melamed

Dr. Michal L. Melamed is an Adjunct Clinical Professor in Medicine (Nephrology) and Pediatrics (Pediatric Nephrology) at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, with affiliations at NYU Langone Health. She is the Nephrology Fellowship Program Director since 2012 and holds a Master's in Clinical Epidemiology from Johns Hopkins. Her research focuses on chronic kidney disease epidemiology, vitamin D deficiency consequences, and metabolic acidosis. She has led NIH-funded studies since 2007, published over 90 papers, and won the 2019 Distinguished Mentor Award from the American Society of Nephrology.
