Dr. Michaela Romero is Professor and FNP/ENP Program Coordinator at the University of Northern Colorado's School of Nursing. She holds a DNP in Nursing Practice and MSN as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Northern Colorado, and a BS in Nursing from Regis University.
Her research focuses on evidence-based practice implementation, health promotion strategies, and clinical research methodologies. She specializes in pharmaceutical and medical device research with expertise in clinical procedures including minor surgeries and injections.
As program coordinator, she oversees graduate nursing education and develops simulation-based training programs. She maintains clinical practice as a board-certified Family and Emergency Nurse Practitioner with full prescriptive authority.
