He also explores intersections of trauma, memory, and identity in war literature.
Publications: Zeitlin's recent publications include analyses of Faulkner's engagement with aviation in Faulkner, Aviation, and Modern War (2022) and essays connecting modernist texts to war, technology, and psychoanalysis. His edited works include interdisciplinary studies like Méconnaissance, Race, and the Real in Faulkner’s Fiction (2004).
Awards: Zeitlin received the Killam Teaching Prize in 2008-2009 for his contributions to teaching within the Faculty of Arts.
Teaching: He teaches ENGL 100 courses on transatlantic modernism, American fiction post-WWII, and contemporary literature. His pedagogy emphasizes close reading, narrative theory, and critical analysis of historical and cultural contexts.
