Michael Wydo

Michael Wydo, PsyD, is Department Chair for the Forensic Psychology programs at The Chicago School's Anaheim campus and holds Adjunct Professor status. He earned a PsyD from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (2003), an MA from Marywood University (1996), and a BS from Penn State University (1992). As former Chief Psychologist at FCI Terminal Island, his expertise spans cognitive behavioral interventions, anger management, and cultural diversity training.

Research trends focus on forensic treatment methodologies and correctional psychology, with publications analyzing vengeful behaviors in prisoners and anger assessment tools. His 2024 work explores emotional dynamics in carceral settings.

Honors include Board Certification in Behavioral & Cognitive Psychology (ABPP). Dr. Wydo contributes to the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies' Forensic Issues SIG and maintains a clinical supervisor role at F.I.R.E: Igniting Lives alongside academic duties.
