معرفی
Michael Winkler is a Professor at the Institute of Mathematics within the Faculty of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering and Mathematics at Paderborn University. His research focuses on Partial Differential Equations with applications in mathematical biology, particularly in chemotaxis, cross-diffusion systems, and singularity analysis. He has authored numerous studies on blow-up phenomena, degenerate diffusion, and stabilization mechanisms in nonlinear systems.
Recent projects include modeling coupled acoustic, electrical, and thermal dynamics of piezoceramics and analyzing global large-data solutions in degenerate parabolic equations. His work spans nonlinear analysis, asymptotic behavior, and mathematical modeling of biological processes, such as tumor angiogenesis, urban crime propagation, and microbial dynamics.
Key trends in his 2024–2025 publications involve blow-up exclusion via entropy structures, critical exponents, and fluid interaction regularization in chemotactic systems. He collaborates with researchers in applied mathematics and theoretical biology, addressing problems like oncolytic virotherapy and nonlocal adhesion models.
