Michael Welzl

Michael Welzl is a Full Professor in the Networks and Distributed Systems group at the Department of Informatics, University of Oslo. He is also involved with Netflix from March to September 2025 at a varying percentage.

• Research Interests: Network congestion control, transport protocols, recursive networking (RINA), multipath TCP, data center networking, and machine learning applications in networking.
