Professor Michael Webb is the Executive Director of the Defence & Security Institute at the University of Adelaide since July 2008. He serves as a bridge between academia, industry, and government for Defence, Cyber, and Space initiatives.

- PhD in Physics (Millimetre Wave Optics), University of St Andrews
- Masters in Mathematical Psychology
- Bachelors in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, University of Adelaide
His research focuses on C4ISR stress modeling, information architecture for Electronic Warfare, technology forecasting for Special Forces, and decision support tools for military communications. He led the development of the Strategic Common Picture (STRATCP) for Defence’s Strategic Command Group.
Notable achievements include securing the Defence Trailblazer: Concept to Sovereign Capability Program and leading the Understanding Mass Influence study for Defence’s Information Warfare Division.
