Michael Wallace

Dr. Michael Wallace is a Clinical Associate Professor in Internal Medicine at the UWA Medical School, The University of Western Australia. His research focuses on hepatocellular carcinoma, liver transplantation, and autoimmune liver diseases. He has published extensively on liver cancer evolution, recurrence post-transplantation, and clinical outcomes in autoimmune conditions.

Current research interests include liver cancer biology, therapeutic efficacy evaluation, and transplant-related complications. He leads projects funded by the Department of Health (WA) and NHMRC, investigating precision medicine approaches and immunotherapy responses in liver cancer.

Notable collaborations involve studies on hepatocellular carcinoma recurrence, quality of life in cancer patients, and the role of inflammation in organ transplantation. He has contributed to 39 research outputs and holds two active grants.
