Dr. Michael Troilo is an Ordinary Professor of Strategy, Management, and Operations at the Busch School of Business, Catholic University of America. Previously, he held the Chapman Professorship of International Business and Finance at the University of Tulsa, where he received the 2023 Outstanding Teacher Award. His expertise spans strategy, management, and operations, with a focus on entrepreneurship and economic development in the Asia-Pacific region, particularly China.
Education: Ph.D. in Business Economics and International Business from the University of Michigan; MBA and MA in East Asian Studies from the University of Virginia; BBA in Accounting from the College of William and Mary. He is a licensed CPA in Virginia.
Research interests include strategy formulation, international business, and entrepreneurship. He has advised student entrepreneurs and consulted for UN ESCAP, the Asian Development Bank, and the Legatum Institute. Prior to academia, he worked in accounting and finance roles at Arthur Andersen and IBM, among others.
