Michael Tremmel

Michael Tremmel is a Lecturer in Theoretical Astrophysics at University College Cork's School of Physics. He specializes in computational galaxy formation using cosmological hydrodynamic simulations to study supermassive black hole evolution and gravitational wave signatures. His research has been supported by prestigious fellowships from Yale University and the NSF.

Research focuses on black hole dynamics, galaxy-BH co-evolution, and gravitational wave predictions. Recent work examines electromagnetic signatures of merging binaries and black hole occupation in dwarf galaxies.
