Michael Skully is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Banking & Finance at Monash University. His research focuses on financial institutions in the Asia Pacific, development finance, microfinance, financial/regulatory policy, prudential issues, dividend reinvestment plans, corporate governance, and Islamic banking and finance.
- Contributed to UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through research on financial systems.
- Collaborated with institutions like the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA), ARC - Australian Research Council, and Muslim Community Co-Operative (Australia) Ltd.
Research Highlights: His work explores nonlinear linkages in banking, governance in Islamic banks, and financial markets' role in inequality. He teaches AFF9260 Australian Capital Markets and has over 93 research outputs spanning 2022 to 1975.
