Michael Skinner is Chairperson and Associate Professor in the Department of Theatre at Southern Connecticut State University, part of the College of Arts and Sciences. He is a recognized theatrical sound designer and composer with extensive professional experience across the Eastern United States, particularly in Connecticut and North Carolina.
His teaching focuses on:

His research and creative work centers on the integration of sound design, composition, storytelling, and technology in live performance.
