Michael Shteyman

Michael Shteyman, MD is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, School of Medicine. His primary appointment reflects expertise in anesthesiology with a strong academic foundation.

• Education: B.A. in Neuroscience (2005) from Johns Hopkins University, M.D. (2011) from the University of Maryland, Baltimore.
• Training: Internship at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital (2011-2012), followed by residency (2012-2016) and fellowship (2016-2017) in the Department of Anesthesiology, University of Maryland, Baltimore.

His research focuses on neuroscience and neurological applications in anesthesiology, particularly examining spinal cord abnormalities and sensorimotor dysfunction in multiple sclerosis.
