Michael Rother

Michael Rother is a Professor and Director of Graduate Studies in Chemical Engineering at the Swenson College of Science and Engineering, University of Minnesota Duluth. He serves as Chair of the North Midwest Section of ASEE and holds an Associate Fellowship at the Minnesota Supercomputing Institute.

His research centers on transport phenomena in multiphase systems, specifically droplet-bubble dynamics under surfactant influence. Key applications span emulsion stability, materials processing, atmospheric raindrop formation, and reduced-gravity operations. Current work examines viscous flow interactions with interfacial surfactants.
