Michael Proulx is Professor of Psychology at the University of Bath, where he directs the REal and Virtual Environments Augmentation Labs (REVEAL). His research examines cognition at the intersection of neuroscience and technology, with focus areas in attention, sensory substitution, and extended reality systems.
Current projects investigate gaze-based interaction paradigms in VR/AR systems and multisensory processing in visually impaired populations. As a Research Scientist at Meta's Reality Labs, he advances behavioral AI research for extended reality applications.
Publications span human-computer interaction, sensory processing, and research methodology. Recent work includes gaze targeting techniques for VR, studies on analytical variability in scientific research, and neural correlates of sensory integration in blindness.
