Michael Pottash is a Clinical Associate Professor at Georgetown University School of Medicine and Program Director of the Medstar Washington Hospital Center Interprofessional Fellowship Program in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. His clinical and academic work focuses on palliative care, clinical ethics, and bioethics.

His research interests include hospice care, end-of-life decision-making, and ethical frameworks in clinical practice. Dr. Pottash actively contributes to institutional ethics committees at Medstar Washington Hospital Center and Children’s National Medical Center, and serves as Vice Chair of the Georgetown-Howard Universities Center for Clinical and Translational Science Institutional Review Board.
He also holds leadership roles in healthcare ethics through his position as medical editor of the Journal for Hospital Ethics at the John J Lynch Center for Ethics.
