Michael Pomirchy is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Political Science at Columbia University and a researcher at Stanford University. He holds a Ph.D. in Politics from Princeton University (2022), an MSc from the London School of Economics, and a B.A. from California State University, Los Angeles. His research focuses on political economy, U.S. Congress factions, electoral accountability, causal inference, and game theory. He has conducted postdoctoral work at Yale University’s Institution for Social and Policy Studies (2022-2023). His teaching experience includes courses on the U.S. presidency, quantitative analysis, game theory, and judicial politics. Recent publications explore topics ranging from herpes zoster vaccination’s impact on dementia to intra-party factional dynamics in Congress. He currently works remotely from the NYC area.
