Michael Meisler is a full-time Lecturer at the Zicklin School of Business, Baruch College, within the Stan Ross Department of Accountancy. He joined the faculty in August 2022 after serving as a part-time lecturer from 2003 to 2022. His expertise spans federal income taxation, corporate and partnership tax, and taxation of digital assets.

Meisler’s research and practice focus on taxation of financial products, blockchain/digital assets, and corporate tax compliance. He has taught courses such as Federal Income Taxation and Partnership Taxation at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
He previously worked as a partner at Ernst & Young (EY), leading the Global Blockchain Tax and Cryptocurrency Tax Center of Excellence. Since retiring from EY in 2021, he continues as an independent tax consultant and serves on the advisory board of a digital asset company.
At Zicklin, Meisler advises teams in the Deloitte FanTAXtic National Tax Case Competition and participates in academic service committees.
