Michael Mathis

Michael Mathis, MD is an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology and Program Director at the University of Michigan's Medical School, specializing in Adult Cardiac Anesthesia. He serves as Research Director of the Multicenter Perioperative Outcomes Group (MPOG), coordinating large-scale perioperative data integration across academic and community hospitals. His research focuses on leveraging data science to improve care for patients with cardiovascular diseases, particularly heart failure. Dr. Mathis holds affiliations with the Precision Health Initiative, Center for Computational Medicine and Bioinformatics, and the Samuel and Jean Frankel Cardiovascular Center.
