Michael Jursa serves as Professor in the Department of Near Eastern Studies at the University of Vienna, specializing in Ancient Near Eastern Philology and Near Eastern Archaeology. His academic work bridges philological analysis with archaeological contexts across Mesopotamian civilizations.
