Michael J. Marcus serves as Principal Research Scientist at the Institute for the Wireless Internet of Things and Adjunct Professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Northeastern University's College of Engineering. He concurrently directs Marcus Spectrum Solutions, leveraging 25 years of senior spectrum policy experience from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), where he retired in 2004 after architecting foundational policies for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and millimeter-wave systems above 59 GHz. His international consultancy includes engagements with Japanese, European, and Singaporean regulators.
Dr. Marcus holds S.B. and Sc.D. degrees in electrical engineering from MIT, forming the technical foundation for his pioneering work.
