Green’s research focuses on Ethics, Political Philosophy, and Early Modern Philosophy, particularly the works of Thomas Hobbes and David Hume. His current projects explore Hobbes’s moral theory and debates on human rights in the context of global justice. His publications often bridge normative ethics with practical policy concerns, such as health care equity and institutional accountability.
In the last decade, Green has taught courses like Political Philosophy, Philosophy of Law, and Freedom, Markets, and Well-Being, emphasizing interdisciplinary engagement. While no formal list of advisees is available, his senior seminars and reading groups suggest mentorship of students specializing in early modern philosophy and political ethics.
Notably, Green has contributed to journals like the Journal of Moral Philosophy, Public Health Ethics, and the British Journal for the History of Philosophy, with thematic trends spanning global justice, legal philosophy, and historical moral theories. His work on Hobbes and Hume underscores a commitment to rigorously analyzing foundational philosophical texts.
